Who We Are

We at South Wind's Arabians are devoted
to preserving the
TRUE CLASSIC ARABIANS, the type you would find in
the Bedouin tents in the desert of
Arabia.  Our horses are gentle by nature, with correct
conformation, with the beauty you would expect to find in an Arabian.
The Arabian horse is the purest breed of horse in the world.  The
Bedouins kept pedigrees on
their beloved horse of the desert.
The Arabians were bred as people oriented horses that were allowed
to sleep in the tents with their
human families.  It is said, & I quote,
"Arabians adopt their owners
as one of their own."  We've searched the country
looking for what
we feel is the TRUE ARABIAN, and are very satisfied.  We take great
Pride in our beloved herd, as we
are proud to be a part of the Arabian Industry.

 The Bedouin legend says,
 "ALLAH CALLED TO THE SOUTH
WIND 'BECOME SOLID
FLESH, FOR I WILL MAKE A NEW
CREATURE OF THEE, TO
THE HONOR OF MY HOLY ONE,
AND THE AMBASEMENT
OF MINE ENEMIES, AND FOR A
SERVANT TO THEM THAT
ARE SUBJECT TO ME', AND THE
SOUTH WIND SAID 'LORD
DO THOU SO', THEN ALLAH TOOK
A HANDFULL OF THE
SOUTH WIND, AND HE BREATHES
THERE ON.  CREATING
THE HORSE SAYING, 'THY NAME
SHALL BE ARABIAN'.

The Core Herd

This is my core herd with me in this picture.

Harbits Raffela is my show mare we do every thing
together!
We show in Class A shows, Fairs,and
even Parades.
This year I have given her time off from
the show ring, for I
am wanting to get a couple fillies
out of her.
The 2 grey geldings are both Raffela's sons
and both are full brothers.
Majestic O'Elite is the older of the 2.

Rikochet is Named after Rick Reynolds of
Black Oak Arkansas For this is his stage name.

Goldie was my husbands horse But she is no longer
with us. Goldie was given to my friend
& Goldie had tried to jump out of her pen one night,
she missed the jump and landed hard on her head. Goldie
died the next day from a brain Hemorrhage.
We have her daughter Har Bar Domino which
is a registered Half Arabian.
She could be registered as an Appaloosa
like Goldie but it
would cost us too much money.
 

Most of my herd is Crabbet and CMK. All of
my horses have been certified by
Eastern Crabbet Arabian Horse Society . I am
honored to be able to tell you AM Ragatyme
is listed in their Stallion Services Auction.
